Application Process
Fill out a LL Housing Authority Job Application or update an already submitted application. The application must be submitted before the closing date to be considered for the position. Aptitude Exam may be required as part of the interview process.
Applicants will be judged based on a five point system, the points are as follows:
- Application - legibility, completion, accuracy, employment history, signature
- Aptitude Exam - total score on exam
- Housing Authority Employment History - points based on past employment history with LLHA
- Native American Preference - points based on Tribal enrollment
- U.S. Veteran Status - points based on veteran status

Tenant Compliance Specialist
The Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe Housing Authority is currently seeking one initiative taking individual with public/human relations and administrative experience. Assisting with Tenant Compliance to correct lease violations, must be able to communicate with tenants to have an understanding what the violation(s) entails and the necessary action(s) needed for correction. This position is a regular full-time position.
Description: Work directly with Tenant Advocates with New move-ins, lease violation follow-up to monitor progress in an effort to prevent lease terminations. Monitors Corrective Action Plans assists tenants/homebuyers to maintain in compliance with all applicable policies and regulations. Must make home visits and be able to collaborate with tenants by providing training and referrals, as necessary. Attend Court Hearings as needed. Assists with Homebuyers Program/Class. Assist with referrals for Lease Violations, monitor. Assist with recertification process with all programs when needed. Assists with coordination, planning, and organizing functions related to providing services to tenants.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent will be considered with minimum three years related experience in Housing or Human Services. Knowledge of the LLHA, LLBO and area programs, services and resources preferred. Must have compassion, empathy, communication skills, and a desire to assist and motivate people when necessary. Knowledge and experience of standard office equipment. Experience in MS Office computer software systems is a must. A valid MN Driver’s License is required and must be insurable per the LLBO Fleet Management Driver/Motor Vehicle Record Criteria.
Wage: $16.12 / DOQ after 90 day-probationary period ($16.12 – $29.79)

Warehouse Manager
The Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe Housing Authority is currently seeking one highly motivated individual who has Warehouse Management experience with the basic knowledge of all aspects of residential building, strong leadership, supervision, and management skills. This position is a regular full-time position.
Description: Responsible for the oversight and coordination of all aspects of the Leech Lake Housing Authority Warehouse and off-site storage facilities. Provides materials, equipment, and supplies by directing procuring, purchasing, receiving, warehousing and distribution services. Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts and reconciling reports from the Warehouse QuickBooks POS system to the Financial General Ledger. Supervision of Warehouse staff.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum 3 years Warehouse Management, Inventory Reconciliation and/or Supervisory Experience is preferred. Basic knowledge of all aspects of Residential Construction and materials preferred. Strong organizational, attention to detail and people skills are a must. Knowledge of Basic Accounting principles.
Wage: $23.11 – $31.77 / DOQ

Homeless Support Specialist
The Leech Lake Housing Authority is currently seeking an initiative-taking, proficient, dependable individual with people skills and compassion to assist people experiencing homelessness. Human services and administrative experience preferred. This position is
a full-time position.
Description: Responsible for receptionist, clerical and administrative assistant duties. Provide a friendly reception to clients and visitors. Provide general information and assistance regarding programs and services. Maintains log of incoming phone calls. Provides intake applications, assess for program qualifications, provides specific forms tentatively qualified for and assists with questions that arise. Ensure excellent service to all constituents. Provide assistance to Case Managers as needed.
Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent and minimum of 3 years Human Service experience field preferred. Must have excellent organizational, public relations, interpersonal, and written communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office. Must be dependable, empathetic, patient and have sensitivity to Indigenous Culture.
Wage: $16.12/hr. - $23.67/hr. DOQ
