The Leech Lake Housing Authority is currently seeking individuals with Carpentry experience. This is a full time position, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. These positions require reliable, punctual individuals that are willing and able to be at work every day. Must have reliable transportation to travel to various job sites throughout the reservation.

 

CARPENTER

 

Description: Performs all aspects of construction, to include new construction, renovation and repairing of existing housing for eligible tenants on the Leech Lake Reservation. A valid MN Driver’s License is required or must be able to obtain within 90 days and be insurable per the LLBO Fleet Management Driver/Motor Vehicle Record Criteria.

 

Qualifications: High school diploma preferred or equivalent. Carpentry Certificate preferred or minimum three years construction experience. Must have ability to lift and carry up to 80 lbs. unassisted.

 

Wage: $14.00/hour w/Valid Driver’s License and Insurable per the LLBO Fleet Management Criteria

             $12.00/hour - Upon successful completion of 90 day probationary period and meeting the Driver’s License requirement including insurability, the rate of pay will increase to $14.00/hour with retro pay back to date of obtaining Driver’s License and being insurable per the LLBO Fleet Management Criteria

           $12.00/hour w/no valid Driver’s License and/or unaccepted insurability

The Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe Housing Authority is currently seeking one highly motivated individual with public/human relations and administrative experience.  This position is a regular full-time position. Work hours are Tuesday – Friday 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, Saturday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.

 

Tenant Advocate

 

Description:  Advocates and assists tenants/homeowners to maintain compliance with all applicable policies and regulations.  Must make home visits and be able to work with tenants who may have social issues and provide training or referrals as necessary. Case Manages tenants on Corrective Action Plans by monitoring progress.  Coordinates, plans, organizes and manages functions related to providing services to tenants.

 

Qualifications: AA Degree in Human Services required, high school diploma or equivalent will be considered with minimum three years related experience in Housing or Human Services. Knowledge of the LLHA, LLBO and area programs, services and resources preferred. Must have compassion, empathy and a desire to assist and motivate people when necessary. Knowledge and experience in standard office equipment. Experience in MS Office computer software systems is a must.  A valid MN Driver’s License is required and be insurable per the LLBO Fleet Management Driver/Motor Vehicle Record Criteria.

 

 

Wage:  DOQ (wage determination based on education and experience)   Full-Time

  5. U.S. Veteran Status - points based on veteran status
