The Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe Housing Authority is currently seeking a highly motivated, individual with people skills and general office experience. This position is a full-time position.

 

OFFICE ASSISTANT

 

Description:  Responsible for providing general office support to the Maintenance department. Duties include but are not limited to, receptionist duties, filing, generating memos, work orders and other office paperwork.

 

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred with office experience. Knowledge of the LLHA and LLBO programs and services preferred. Knowledge of LL Housing Authority communities. Knowledge and experience in standard office equipment including but not limited to: computer, printer, copy/fax machine, etc. Experience in MS Office computer software systems is a must. A valid, Minnesota Driver’s License is a plus.

 

Wage: $11.00/hour

The Leech Lake Housing Authority is currently seeking individuals with Carpentry experience. This is a full time position, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. These positions require reliable, punctual individuals that are willing and able to be at work every day.  Must have reliable transportation to travel to various job sites throughout the reservation.

 

CARPENTER

 

Description: Performs all aspects of construction, to include new construction, renovation and repairing of existing housing for eligible tenants on the Leech Lake Reservation. A valid MN Driver’s License is required or must be able to obtain within 90 days and be insurable per the LLBO Fleet Management Driver/Motor Vehicle Record Criteria.

 

Qualifications: High school diploma preferred or equivalent. Carpentry Certificate preferred or minimum three years construction experience. Must have ability to lift and carry up to 80 lbs. unassisted.

 

Wage:  $14.00/hour w/Valid Driver’s License and Insurable per the LLBO Fleet Management Criteria

$12.00/hour - Upon successful completion of 90 day probationary period and meeting the   Driver’s License requirement including insurability, the rate of pay will increase to

$14.00/hour with retro pay back to date of obtaining Driver’s License and being insurable per the LLBO Fleet Management Criteria

$12.00/hour w/no valid Driver’s License and/or unaccepted insurability

WAREHOUSE LABORER

 

Description: Assists in the delivery and pick-up, ordering, inventorying of materials, small tools and equipment owned by the Leech Lake Housing Authority contained within the Warehouse Department.

 

Qualifications: Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.  Knowledge of construction, inventory related field in material handling and delivery.  Experience and ability to operate warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jack, etc.) preferred.   Must have the ability to lift and carry, unassisted up to 85lbs. utilizing safe lifting techniques.

 

Experience in MS Office computer software is required. A valid, Minnesota Driver’s License is required and be insurable per the LLBO Fleet Management Driver/Motor Vehicle Criteria.

 

Wage:   $10.25 /Hour      Full-time

  3. Housing Authority Employment History - points based on past employment history with LLHA
  4. Native American Preference - points based on Tribal enrollment
  5. U.S. Veteran Status - points based on veteran status
