Finance Assistant II

 

Description: Responsible for processing all aspects of Payroll (time cards, personal leave, deductions, taxes etc.)   Responsible for cell phone management (loading, distributing, problem solving), all finance department filing, other general office duties and back-up for Accounts Receivable.  Responsible for travel (arrangements for staff travel and tracking of close-outs).

 

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Associates Degree in Accounting preferred or equivalent experience in bookkeeping/accounting.  Must be dependable and reliable and must adhere to all confidentiality policies of the LLHA. Must have excellent interpersonal, oral, written communication, organizational, computer and aptitude skills.  Must possess a high level of integrity and work ethics.  Good budgetary control skills are required.  Knowledge of QuickBooks software preferred. Subject to random drug/alcohol testing.

 

Wage: $13.00/Hour     Full Time (32 hours per week:  Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday)

A Valid Minnesota Driver’s License is required or must be obtainable within 90 days of employment and must be insurable in accordance with LLBO Fleet policy.

  1. Application - legibility, completion, accuracy, employment history, signature
  2. Aptitude Exam - total score on exam
  3. Housing Authority Employment History - points based on past employment history with LLHA
  4. Native American Preference - points based on Tribal enrollment
  5. U.S. Veteran Status - points based on veteran status
